Dhampir

The children of a vampire father and a human mother, dhampir are creatures of horror and tragedy. Toeing the line between life and death, they inherit some of the unnatural strength of their sire, while lacking many of his weaknesses.

Inhuman Beauty

Tall and slender, dhampir tend to look like humans of unnatural beauty. Dhampir inherit the physical traits of their human mother, including hair and skin color, but it is marred by the ghastly pallor of death. Some dhampir posses pronounced canines and sharpened nails, but all dhampir share the same piercing blood-red eyes.

Generally, dhampir are able to conceal their undead heritage and pass as normal humans, but they always face the risk of being discovered.

Feared Outcasts

Dhampir usually spend their lives shunned by those aware of their tragic origins, moving from place to place and spending their time on the fringes of society. The birth of a dhampir is extremely traumatic, and dhampir are often abandoned by the few women that survive the process.

Each dhampir reacts to this isolation differently: some will choose to reject their undead heritage, while others choose to embrace it. Regardless of their choice, a dhampir can spend his or her entire life unsure of their place in the world.

Dhampir Names
